Can we meet you?

My name is Bayray McNwizu. I’m an actress

What made you choose acting for a career?

Passion and purpose. It also looked like a whole lot of fun.

When did you know that this will be your profession?

Right from childhood. I was always engaged in competitions and drama while in school.

What is the first movie you ever released or got featured in?

Cindy notes, directed by Izu Ojukwu.

What movies of yours are you most proud of and why?

Almost everyone, like Cindy’s notes and the Visit and most currently Ruthless an advocacy film on spousal abuse and domestic violence. Cindy’s notes is a film about purpose and our generation needs such inspiration. The visit is also an interesting, intriguing tell-all drama about the intricacies of marriage. So I’m able to imitate life by acting and so encourage/inspire and uplift many all around the world in similar situations.

What movies of yours have you done you wish you hadn’t?

None. They’ve all been a learning process

Who are your career influences?

Tyra banks, Richard Benson, Tyler Perry, Priyanka, Chopra, Bonang Matheba

How do you handle mistakes during a performance?

It is now a matter of skill, I correct and move on as if nothing happened because it’s not just about me, every department is involved in the art of filmmaking and it can get tiring if an actor isn’t efficient , intuitive or spontaneous .

What do you like most about your profession?

It builds your confidence somewhat and the freedom to be anybody you want to be, including a president

What do you like the least?

Time management. Not enough time yet to lay in bed resting still working on that

Favorite movie by another actor or actress?

Blue jasmine

What is the side of you that the public never sees?

No side yet. I am me at all times, God willing.

Ever wish you had more privacy?

Not at all, if I want more of anything, I just go after it and get it

Do you think the public expects too much from celebrities?

Yes, sometimes but then again to whom much is given much is expected, everyone is looking up to us so I can understand.

What is the most unbelievable rumor ever printed about you?

That I quit acting

Most important day of your life?


Which do you enjoy the most; a night in town or staying in with someone special?

Both I get to have fun and unwind and on the other hand, I get to relax and share ideas.

Long walks and running

What would you have done if you were not an actress?

Diplomacy and advocacy

How hard do you push yourself?

Very hard, very kind.

Magic formula for success?

This will take an entire week to write. But my idea of magic formula isn’t a short cut to success but summarized as tears, lonely nights, consistency and resolute

Where do you see your brand in five years?

International film partnerships with a purpose for promoting World peace and greatness.
