Bluetooth now poses ‘profound security risk’, security expert warns!

Kurt the Cyber Guy said on Friday to Fox news that hackers have found a way to ‘take over your device’ through Bluetooth. Kurt explained that Bluetooth uses a technology that negotiates in short range, facilitating a wireless connection between two devices.

‘We know it with our headsets and everything else we use’, he said. “For the first time, the organisation that writes a standard for this has issued a warning stating that they have to completely change the way that Bluetooth negotiates because hackers can now get information from both devices”.

The solution here however, is to remove any Bluetooth device that automatically appears on your list of devices, when the Bluetooth is on, or just switch off your Bluetooth when its not in use. Please guys, take note!
