The Federal Government has approved the reduction of Visa fees for U.S citizens.
This is as a result of an announcement by the U.S government of an additional visa reciprocity fee which would be paid by Nigerian citizens who have the U.S Visa, saying that the decision was made because American citizens pay a higher amount to get a visa into Nigeria.
U.S Citizens pay an additional $110 to get a visa into Nigeria, than what Nigerians pay to get a U.S Visa.
The Comptroller General of the NIS, (Nigerian Immigration Service) Muhammad Babandede, has been directed to implement the decrease in Visa charges to U.S citizens effective Thursday, 29th of August 2019.
Nigeria, na wa! So if the U.S hadn’t increased ours, they wouldn’t even reduce theirs!!
