The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, urged Nigerians not to revenge the attack on fellow Nigerians in South Africa.
He buttressed his point by narrating an experience he had during the Civil War between Nigeria and Biafra. He as a Westerner was trapped in the east during the civil war because the Westerners didn’t release the Igbos living there, so the Igbos also didn’t let the westerners go.
He said: “I beg you in the name of God,do not retaliate against South Africa.” He said this in the presence of Vice President Yemi Osinbanjo and his wife, Dolapo.
He rather advised the Federal Government to resolve the issue diplomatically rather than seeking vengeance or trying to evacuate Nigerians from South Africa.
