Giant of Africa? Where did we go wrong?
So the World Poverty clock, by Oxfam International has confirmed that almost half of the Nigerian Populace are living in abject poverty. Precisely, 94,470,535 people in Nigeria are living below the poverty line.
Mr Constant Tchona confirmed that this particular number of Nigerians are living below N684 per day, which made Nigeria the World Poverty Capital.
As at April, this number was 91,501,377. Only six months later, the number of people living in abject poverty in Nigeria increased by 2,969,158!
Nigeria is expected to be the third largest country in the WORLD by 2050, with a current population of more than 200 million.
