History was made in Rwanda yesterday as the first African made Smartphone was unveiled.
Rwandan President, Paul Kagame launched a phone manufacturing plant on Monday in his bid to make the country a technology giant.
The factory has the capacity to manufacture 2 million smart phones in a year. The launch of the Mara phones production plant is part of the Made in Rwanda initiative, which the country has embarked on.
