In Uganda, there are about 232 people under quarantine. These are people may have had contact with already infected people and have been put under watch to determine if they contracted the disease.
However, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Diana Atwine has disclosed that those living in the country’s quarantine center, have started having sex with themselves.
”Ugandans are not serious. Some who are in quarantine have begun having sexual affairs. They move to rooms of others in the hotels where we have placed them. Others like in Mulago move from their rooms to visit their colleagues in other rooms too, this is too dangerous and will distract our efforts”, said the Permanent Seceretary.
In March, the Ministry of Health designated 17 places to be used as isolation centers for those under mandatory quarantine. These areas include hotels, hospitals, lodges and Universities. There are currently 232 people under quarantine. Uganda has 54 active cases with 7 deaths.
