“Do your little bit of good wherever you are, it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.”- Desmond Tutu
How are you doing your little bit of good this new week? One sure way is by protecting ourselves as we head out to our places of work this morning (for those who would be resuming). Are we making sure to follow the guidelines set up by the Lagos State Government in order to curb the spread? Or are we trying to be stubborn as with previous guidelines on less important matters?
Wearing a face mask, using a sanitizer frequently and keeping social distance protects not just us, but also our loved ones. If you aren’t bothered about contracting the virus because you think you “will recover”, think of the asthmatic patients, those that have pneumonia who have very little chance of recovery.
Let’s be smart and empathetic this period. When it’s time to be inside, pls stay at home.
It’s a very big risk we have taken by relaxing the lockdown, but we as a developing nation can’t afford not to.
Stay safe and stay smart!
