Some supermarkets and mini stores in Akure, Ondo state are now profiting heavily from the closure of popular mall, Shoprite.
A Manager of one of such stores told Saharareporters that indeed sales had increased for them since they closed down Shoprite in the city.
She said:”we have been witnessing improved sales and high influx of customers since Shoprite was shut down in Akure due to the protests by the youth”.
