The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has requested the African Commission on Human and People’s Rights to sue South Africa for $10bn

In its letter to the Chairperson of the commission, Ms Soyata Maiga, maintained that the xenophobic attack was a clear violation of the human rights of Nigerians and other Africans living in South Africa.
