Leaders and Senior Pastors of the Commonwealth Of Zion Assembly. COZA have officially broken their silence on the lingering rape accusation levelled against the General Overseer of the Church, Biodun Fatoyinbo.
Some months ago, ace photographer and wife of Timi Dakolo, Busola accused Biodun Fatoyinbo of raping her in her family home when she was just 17 years old.
The matter has recently been taken to court and judgement is yet to be passed. Meanwhile, the leadership of the Abuja-based church have officially issued a statement concerning the rape allegations of the founder of the church.
The Senior Assistant to Biodun Fatoyinbo, Mr Ademola Adetuberu said: “As a result of the recent unprovoked satanic campaign of calumny orchestrated against the leadership and membership of our Church by agents of darkness, the church would like to break its silence and clear certain misconception and misinformation being churned out in order to misguide members of the church, public and relevant authorities, that we do not support rape.
We stand with anyone who has been a victim of rape, we stand by our Founding and Senior Pastor, Rev. Biodun Fatoyinbo, who has been at the receiving end of organised blackmail and all sorts of attacks because of his INNOCENCE, but we are sure that our faithful and unfailing God will vindicate him soon”
As for Busola Dakolo, justice will be served. We would like to reiterate that our Pastor has never had anything personal to do with her. Busola has never been raped by Biodun Fatoyinbo…”
The Church will definitely support their own. But only the truth will prevail at the end.
