Nigerian man cries out as Ghanian Officials lock down his shop even after presenting valid documents.

Ghana Union of Traders Association has closed down more than 100 foreign-run shops, including those of Nigerians, in Accra. The businesses targeted were said to be violating a Ghanaian law barring non-nationals from operating in the domestic retail space. The union says up to 100 trucks carrying goods belonging to Ghanaian traders have been seized in Nigeria, since the Buhari administration closed the country’s border with Benin in July, 2019.
