YouTube generates the amount Google bought the platform within 3 weeks

YouTube, an American Online video-sharing platform was created by three former Pay Pal employees, Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim, in February 2005. Google bought the site in November 2006 for a sum of $1.65 billion, which made YouTube one of Google’s subsidiaries.

As of May 2019, above 500 hours of video content are uploaded to YouTube every minute, YouTube became the second most popular website in the world after Google in October 2020 and as of 2021, YouTube generates $1.65 billion in ad revenue every three weeks, the amount that was used to buy the video-sharing platform in 2006.
