Baba Ijesha’s rape allegation: Yomi Fabiyi clarifies his stand as Iyabo Ojo, Davido, Toke Makinwa, and countless other Nigerians drag him on social media.

Nollywood Actor and Filmmaker, Yomi Fabiyi has been dragged on social media by fellow Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, Nigerian Artist Davido, and On-Air Personality, Toke Makinwa over his statements and stand on the alleged sexual molestation of a 14-year-old by Baba Ijesha.

After countless comments and videos against him, Yomi Fabiyi finally comes out to clarify his stand.

In an interview with GoldMyne TV, the actor said he was first called a hypocrite due to his silence on the rape allegation despite being a human rights activist. Then when he spoke up, asking Nigerians to calm down and wait till the suspect is proven guilty, his words were twisted.

In his words, “if you are accused of any crime, trust me, on my honor, I will not judge you until I can balance the story. I don’t use my brain that way. I have a very decent background. And if people are beginning to grow with that kind of background, whereby they don’t want to wait, they want to judge, they will judge you too because you are prone to suspicion.”

This interview comes a day after various celebrities took to their social media pages to blast the actor for being a rape apologist.

“Yomi Fabiyi is a disgrace, a complete idiot, one of the reasons why the fight against sexual violence gets harder by the day, you want to see a video first even when you know she is a minor? Even after you heard he confessed? What is wrong with the world??? I cannot can’t,” Toke Makinwa tweeted.

Whereas Davido simply posted his picture and captioned it, “Bitch it’s on sight.”
