14-year-old Jumoke was reportedly shot to death by security operatives trying to disperse Yoruba natuon protesters

A 14-years-old yogurt seller, identified as Jumoke, was reportedly killed by bullets fired by a security operative, to disperse the Yoruba nation agitators rally at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Ojota, Lagos, Nigeria.

This, after the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, addressed journalists at the venue saying no rally is allowed in Lagos.

An eyewitness who sighted the girl’s corpse said that bullets had ripped open the victim’s stomach.

However, the Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odunmosu claimed that no lives were lost during the rally and no security operative fired at Jumoke.

He promised to ensure that thorough investigations were made into the death of Jumoke as the lives of all Lagosians are paramount to the state.
